About Us

My name is Jill Duke.  I am a full-time working mother of four boys (one in Heaven, three on Earth) plus a new daughter-in-law and I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Jared, for 23 years.  I always thought the idea of owning my own business would be really cool, but had no clue what to do or how to start.  I started thinking about what I like -- comfortable and cute clothes, accessories, and gift items at reasonable prices, and that is how the business was born.  I started the boutique as an online shop in October 2018.  After nearly a year of operating only online and many requests to open an actual brick and mortar location, I took a leap of faith and opened our shop in downtown Plainfield in December 2019.  Unfortunately, COVID hit just a few months later and I had to eventually close up shop, but continue to sell online.

I rarely spend money on myself, so when I do I want to feel like I'm getting a great value, and I hope that is what Sugar Pine Boutique delivers to our customers. I try my best to serve women of all sizes to bring you super cute items at great prices.  One unique thing about my boutique is that I provide custom made t-shirts as a service.  If you need a t-shirt for a special trip, sports team, special event, or just for fun, I can work with you to come up with a design you'll love!  Nearly all of the t-shirts you find for sale on the website are made personally by me.

The name Sugar Pine Boutique represents the street name where we live.  My family and my home are my everything, so I wanted a name that represented something near and dear to my heart.  I hope you like what you see in the boutique and will visit often.
